The Chamber of Commerce RECOGNIZES outstanding educators in the community that have made
an impact on student achievement. Recognition was divided in four (4) categories.

  • Veteran (Experienced) Educator
    An educator who has taught for more than five (5) years in Henderson County. (currently employed as an educator)
  • Rookie Educator
    An educator who has taught less than five (5) years in Henderson County.
  • Post-Secondary Educator
    An educator who teaches at the post secondary level in Henderson County
  • Education Supporter
    A person who may or may not work for the educational system that has provided direct educational support and encouragement to students to enhance student educational attainment in Henderson County.


The award winners will be recognized on a billboard this summer and at a school wide event in the Fall. The following persons are recognized for their outstanding contribution to education in Henderson County:


Pammi Hayden

Holy Name School
2020 Veteran Educator of the Year

Pammi, a 5th grade teacher and Holy Name alumnus, lives out the mission of Holy Name School daily. She provides her students with a faith-filled learning experience rooted in strong academic standards with a servant heart. She  demonstrates passion and enthusiasm in all that she does, working relentlessly to assist her students in the mastery of academic content. She coaches the academic team, serves on school committees,  collaborates with her teaching partners, supports her students, communicates with families, and readily steps up as a leader within our school community. Congratulations, Pammi, we are proud of you!”

 

Tony Rutledge

Henderson County High School
2020 Rookie Educator of the Year

Mark Walker

East Heights Elementary
2020 Support Educator of the Year

2020 Post Secondary Educator of the Year
