The nominee for the Distinguished Citizen of the Year should be an individual who has worked diligently for the growth and development of Henderson County. The recipient will be recognized at the Henderson Chamber’s Annual Dinner.
Criteria for the Distinguished Citizen of the Year nominees are:
- The individual must have provided the work over a number of years.
- The community service that this individual has provided must be in addition to his/her regular job or work.
- The individual must have provided voluntary services in a number of different community fields. Four categories of consideration are: church, community development, youth, and humanitarianism.
