JCFilms and Henderson native Bobby Lacer's production company (Little Chicago Pictures) are proceeding with filming “The Story of Mother’s Day” in Henderson – March 10-18, 2021.
Thanks to Abby and her board, we already have housing lined up for the  out of town production crew. I also believe we have most of our locations lined up, but we still need a couple to finalize; Restaurant (trying to get Hometown Roots), a room that looks like it is in a nursing home, and the high school theatre (we have already met with them and we feel strongly this will pan out). If any of you have any ideas for the nursing home, this would be helpful. We still have a couple of houses to line up, but we are waiting to see who we cast in what roles, as we may be able to use their existing home.
This film will feature roughly 30 teenagers, 9 adults, 3 children, and 1 elderly female – all of which Bobby and his team are hopeful to fill with Henderson residents and/or natives.
They will be hosting open auditions on Saturday, February 6, 2021 from 1-6 PM in the Fiscal Courtroom at the Henderson County Fiscal Court (thank you, Brad). This information has already been posted on my personal Facebook page, as well as JCFilms and Little Chicago’s pages.
Thank you all for your help on this project and “The Shadows”. I hope both bring recognition to Henderson and allow people to see what an amazing town we have here in Western Kentucky. The sun always shines bright on MY Kentucky hometown.

Anyone interested in auditioning for the film can visit jcfilms.org/mothersdayabout for more information on the film and audition dates, time, and location.
